Introit of Last Sunday After Pentecost

Jeremiah 29:11-12,14

The Lord saith: I think thoughts of peace, and not of affliction: you shall call upon Me, and I will hear you; and I will bring back your captivity from all places. Ps. Lord, Thou hast blessed Thy land: Thou hast turned away the captivity of Jacob. V. Glory be to the Father.

Ver. 11: An end. Septuagint, “these things.” This version is much abridged. From ver. 15., to 21., is omitted in St. Jerome’s and the Roman edition; but not in the Complutensian or Theodoret. (Calmet) — Grabe inserts what is wanting, and places the 15th at the end of our 20th verse. (Haydock)
