Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary
Let us all rejoice in the Lord, celebrating a feast in honour of the Queenship of the blessed Virgin Mary: at whose solemnity the angels rejoice and join in praising the Son of God. Ps. My heart hath uttered a good word: I speak my works to the King. Glory be to the Father.
O God, by Whose will the blessed Mary, ever Virgin, the dwelling place of the Holy Spirit, was on this day presented in the temple, grant, we beseech You, that by her intercession we may be found worthy to be brought into the temple of Your glory. Through our Lord…
Before all ages, in the beginning, He created me, and through all ages I shall not cease to be. In the holy Tent I ministered before Him, and in Sion I fixed my abode. Thus in the chosen city He has given me rest, in Jerusalem is my domain. I have struck root among the glorious people, in the portion of my God, His heritage, and my abode is in the full assembly of Saints.
Blessed and venerable are you, O Virgin Mary, who, without spot were found the Mother of the Saviour. ℣. O Virgin, Mother of God, He Whom the whole world does not contain, shut Himself within your womb, becoming Man.
Alleluia, alleluia. ℣. After His birth a Virgin entire thou didst remain: O Mother of God, intercede for us. Alleluia.
At that time, as Jesus was speaking to the multitudes, a certain woman from the crowd, lifting up her voice, said to Him: Blessed is the womb that bore Thee and the paps that gave Thee suck. But He said: Yea, rather, blessed are they who hear the world of God and keep it.
Luke 1:28, 42
Hail Mary, full of grace: the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.
By Thy mercy, O Lord, and the intercession of blessed Mary, ever virgin, may this oblation profit us unto eternal and present prosperity and peace. Through our Lord.
Blessed is the womb of the Virgin Mary, which bore the Son of the Eternal Father.
Lord, grant, we beseech Thee, that, having received the aids of our salvation, we may always and everywhere be protected by the patronage of Blessed Mary ever virgin, in veneration of whom we have made this offering to Thy majesty. Through our Lord.
