Psalm 99:1-2
SING joyfully to God, all the earth: serve ye the Lord with gladness. V. Come in before His presence with exceeding great joy: know ye that the Lord He is God. V. He made us, and not we ourselves: but we are His people and the sheep of His pasture.

Verse 1. Praise. Theodoret reads, “A psalm of David for confession, with a title in Heb.” But now that text and the Sept. agree with us. The psalm refers to the same events as the preceding. C.
Verse 2. Earth. Both Jews and Gentiles, (W.) converted to the faith of Christ. H. — Gladness. God loves a cheerful giver. M. — He hears our prayers in all places. Yet appoints the temple more peculiarly for that duty. W.
