James 1:12; Ecclesiasticus 45:9
Alleluia, alleluia. Blessed is the man that endureth temptation for when he hath been proved, he shall receive the crown of life.
During Eastertide the Gradual is omitted and the following Alleluia is said:
Alleluia. The Lord loved him and adorned him: He clothed him with a robe of glory. Alleluia.
