Psalm 44:8
Thou hast loved justice and hated iniquity. Therefore, God, Thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness.

Verse 8. God. Sym. Qee. Theophyl. --- Elohim is used in both places, (H.) with a singular verb, as being spoken of the Deity. S. Iræn. iii. 6. Bossuet. D. --- “O Elohim, thy Elohim,” (H.) which implies more than one person in God. Bert. --- Many king might be preferred to Solomon; but Christ was raised above all. W. --- Fellows.
