Hebrews 4:16
Let us come with confidence to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace in seasonable aid. Ps. My heart hath uttered a good word: I speak my works to the King. ℣. Glory be to the Father.
Collect
Almighty, everlasting God, who didst prepare in the Heart of the Virgin Mary a dwelling worthy of the Holy Ghost; mercifully grant that we, devoutly contemplating the festivity of that Immaculate Heart, may be enabled to live according to Thine own heart. Through our Lord.
Epistle
Ecclesiasticus 24:23-31
As the vine I have brought forth a pleasant odour, and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches. I am the mother of fair love, and of fear, and of knowledge, and of holy hope. In me is all grace of the way and of the truth, in me is all hope of life and of virtue. Come over to me, all ye that desire me, and be filled with my fruits; for my spirit is sweet above honey, and my inheritance above honey and the honeycomb. My memory is unto everlasting generations. They that eat me, shall yet hunger; and they that drink me, shall yet thirst. He that hearkeneth to me, shall not be confounded, and they that work by me, shall not sin. Refreshed by divine gifts, we humbly beseech Thee, O Lord, that, by the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the solemnity of whose Immaculate Heart we have just venerated, we may be freed from present dangers and may attain to the joys of eternal life. Through the same Lord.
